Hi my name is Tarn Barford,
I'm really into computers, programming, electronics, robotics and most things related. About half way through high school I wrote my first Q-Basic program and loved it. By the end of high school I was writing simple C, C++, Pascal, db2 and assembly programs.
After high school I studied Electronic Engineering, it was exactly what I wanted. The maths pushed me a bit but everything was fun. I got to design and build PCB boards, program microcontrollers, synthesize hardware with VHDL on FPGAs and build control systems.
I've been writing enterprise .Net software with thinkgroup for the last 3 years. I've enjoyed it much more than I expected. Now I like, and encourage using software patterns, agile processes and test driven development. I have also become interested in ORMs and web development frameworks. I want to learn and use those other languages and frameworks that I haven't had much exposure to yet.
I live in Fitzroy in Melbourne, grow veggies out the back and play basketball in a local competition with the same group of mates since I was about 15.
